Pursuant to section 170 of the Corrections Act 2004,
I, Judith Anne Collins, Minister of Corrections, hereby give notice that:
On 5 July 2010, the Deputy Chief Executive of the Department of Corrections and First Security Guard Services Limited entered into Variation (No.1) to the Agreement for the Provision of Prisoner Escort and Courtroom Custodial Services in the Auckland/Northland Region, being a security contract.
Variation (No.1) was deemed effective from 22 March 2010.
In summary, Variation (No.1) obliges First Security Guard Services Limited to provide courtroom custodial services in two new jury trial courtrooms in the Auckland District Court and other designated jury trial courtrooms within the Auckland/Northland Region. The price to be paid under
the contract is varied to take into account the additional courtroom custodial services required of First Security Guard Services Limited.
