Under section 159AC of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education gives notice as follows.

1. This notice may be cited as the Tertiary Education Strategy 2010-2015 Notice.
Tertiary Education Strategy 2010-2015
2. The Tertiary Education Strategy issued under section 159AA of the Education Act 1989 sets out the Government’s long-term strategic direction for tertiary education, together with its current and medium-term priorities. In particular, the TES addresses the Government’s economic, social and environmental goals for tertiary education, and the development aspirations
of Maori and other population groups.
3. The Minister for Tertiary Education has revoked the Tertiary Education Strategy 2007-2012 (incorporating the Statement of Tertiary Education Priorities for
2008-2010) and replaced it with a new Tertiary Education Strategy 2010-2015.
4. The Tertiary Education Strategy 2010-2015 can be viewed and downloaded from the Ministry of Education website at
http://www.minedu.govt.nz/tertiaryeducationstrategy
