Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, full recognition for the Skills Active Industry Training Organisation has been granted for a further period of five years, with effect from 26 June 2009 to 26 June 2014, to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the sports, fitness and recreation industry including the planning, management, promotion and delivery of sport, fitness, community recreation, outdoor recreation, diving (excluding aquaculture) and snowsport industries.
