On 7 November 2007, the Commerce Commission ("Commission") made standard terms determinations,
under section 30M of the Telecommunications Act 2001 ("the Act"), in respect of the designated access services of Telecom’s Unbundled Copper Local Loop Network ("Decision 609") and Telecom’s Unbundled Copper Local Loop Network Co location ("Decision 610").
On 21 May 2008, Decisions 609 and 610 were amended by Decision 643.
Pursuant to section 58(2) of the Act, the Commission is required to give public notice that it has further amended Decisions 609 and 610 for the purposes of making a clarification under section 58(1) of the Act.
Clarification Decision 682 made amendments to the following areas of Decisions 609 and 610:
- Who pays the costs associated with transferring the Access Seeker’s customers from the host exchange to
the newly installed cabinet; and
- the exceptions to the requirement to give a Cabinetisation Notice.
