Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule was set apart as a Maori reservation by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 3 July 1975, No. 57, page 1480.
The purpose is hereby redefined, pursuant to section 338(5)(c) of the Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, to be for the use and benefit of the Maori people of the Waikawa District.
