Pursuant to section 338(1) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court,
the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto
is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose
of a marae for the common use and benefit of all those who descend from and/or identify with Te Whanau a Karuwai hapu of Ngati Porou and the community of Te Riu o Waiapu (the marae to be called Karuwai and the urupa to be known as Paenoa).
