Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land and other interests described in the Schedules hereto ("the land").
The land is required for road, namely for the realignment of State Highway 7 at McKendries Corner, Omoto Road, near Greymouth.
It is necessary to acquire the easement interests specified
in the Schedule so that the easement can be extinguished when the land is taken for road.
The project is required to improve the safety and efficiency of State Highway 7.
The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown's intention to take the land and their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court,
89 Armagh Street, Christchurch. Postal Address: PO Box 2069, Christchurch 8140, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be heard with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

(c) 582 square metres, being part Rural Section 4570; all Computer Freehold Register WS5B/1477.
The land is situated at 110 and 128 Omoto Road, State Highway 7.

Right of way easement in gross created by transfer 514 (affecting Computer Freehold Register WS3A/901).
Right of way easement in gross created by transfer 513 (affecting Computer Freehold Register WS5B/1477).

500 square metres, being part of part Rural Section 4570; part Computer Freehold Register WS3A/907; shown as Section 1 on SO 418149.

Fourth Schedule
Terms and Conditions of Leasehold Estate
Purpose for Which Leasehold Estate is Required
The leasehold estate is required over the land referred to in Schedule 2 of this notice ("the Land"), to allow the Crown to occupy it during the construction of the realignment of State Highway 7 ("the Project"):
(a) as a lay-down area for the parking of vehicles and machinery and storage of materials required for the Project; and
(b) if required, for the re-contouring of the Land and the driveway on the land as part of the Project.
Terms of the Leasehold Estate
1. The Crown must give the lessor three months notice in writing that it intends to enter the Land for occupation during the construction of the Project.
2. The leasehold estate shall have a term of two years, commencing on the date immediately following the expiry of the Crown's notice, and terminating on the date two years thereafter.
3. Notwithstanding the term created, the Crown may terminate the leasehold estate at any time by giving the lessor one month's notice in writing.
4. The Crown shall have the right to occupy the Land, including the right to enter and re-enter the Land at all times, with or without such vehicles, machinery or materials for the purpose set out in this notice.
5. The Crown shall take all reasonable steps to minimize disruption to the access to the balance of the Land held in Computer Freehold Register WS3A/907 during the Project.
6. The Crown shall repair any damage caused to any part
of the surface of the Land (re-contouring accepted) resulting from the Crown's occupation prior to expiry of the leasehold estate.
