Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road and the Functioning Indirectly of a Road Tauranga Eastern Link Motorway, Western Bay of Plenty District

Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedules hereto ("the land").
The land described in the Schedules to this notice is required for the construction of the Tauranga Eastern Link Motorway.
The land described in the First Schedule is required for road.
The land described in the Second Schedule is required for the functioning indirectly of a road.
The land described in the Third Schedule is required for the functioning indirectly of a road (segregation strip).
The intended use is in accordance with the designation in the district plan.
The project is required to cater for increasing traffic volumes and to improve the safety and efficiency of State Highway 2 and the local road network.
The owners of the land have been served with notice of the Crown's intention to take the land and their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court,
PO Box 7147, Auckland, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

The land is located at Pah Road, near Te Puke.
