Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager of the Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy of the Department of Conservation appoints Omaka Marae Incorporated to control and manage the reserves described in the Schedule, subject to the following conditions:
1. No alterations to buildings or other structures on the site are permitted without the prior written approval of the Conservator, Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy.
2. The reserves, and any buildings located thereon, must be available for the benefit of the wider public in keeping with their local purpose status.
3. Omaka Marae Incorporated ensures that, at all times, all buildings on the reserves comply with all applicable regulations and legislation.
4. The reserves, and any buildings located thereon, cannot be used for hostel accommodation or permanent occupation.
