Pursuant to section 65ZD(3) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:
"On 29 October 2009, I, The Honourable Simon William English, Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Crown, fully indemnified Professor Martin Richardson against all claims, proceedings, actions, liabilities, damages, costs, expenses and losses (including full legal costs) suffered or incurred as a result of his actions or omissions carried out in good faith while discharging his functions and duties as a lay member of the High Court under the Commerce Act 1986 during his appointment from 11 November 2006 to 10 November 2011."
