Pursuant to section 68 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Christine McElwee, hereby declare that a state of local emergency exists in Taupo District.
The state of local emergency came into force at 1.19am on
5 October 2009.
This state of local emergency expires at 5.50pm on
6 October 2009 or with the commencement of the 7th day after the date on which this declaration was declared, whichever is the earliest.
