Take notice that, pursuant to Part 2 (subpart 2) of the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (“the Act”), compensation awarded to Terrance Michael Chadwick was paid to the Secretary for Justice on 2 February 2009, and the surplus was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on 3 March 2009 on behalf of Terrance Michael Chadwick to enable any victims of that offender to make claims against it.
And that on 12 March 2009, notice was given by publication in the New Zealand Gazette, 12 March 2009, No. 31, page 849, and on 14 March 2009 in the daily newspapers in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, and on 12 March 2009 on the website of the Ministry of Justice, of the sum of money paid into the trust account, and the entitlement of victims of the offender to claim against this money and the manner to do so.
Under section 48(4) of the Act, the Secretary for Justice has now paid out all of the money held in the trust account on behalf of Terrance Michael Chadwick.
