Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992,
full recognition for the Pharmacy Industry Training Organisation Incorporated has been granted for a further period of five years, with effect from 26 December 2008 to 26 December 2013, to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the pharmacy industry in the areas of the dispensing and preparation of pharmaceutical products, the provision of advice on illness preparation, and the selection and sale of non-prescription medicines, therapies, diagnostic and therapeutic aids in the pharmacy setting.
