Notice of Exemption from Maritime Rules 21.9(1)(b), 21.13(1)(b), 31B.15 – Table 8, Rule 32.9(6)(b)(i), 40A.10(1)(a) and (b), 40A.19, 40A.55(1), 40A.61, 40C.16(1), Rule 45 – Appendix (b)(2), 45.21(1)(ii), 45.23(1)(a), 47.65(1)(a) and (2), 47.8(2)(b)(i)

Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions:
? 1 from Maritime Rule 21.9(1)(b) – re Safe Ship Management Systems – ships which do not proceed beyond restricted limits, fishing ships, and ships less than 45 metres in length which are not required to comply with section 1
? 2 from Maritime Rule 21.13(1)(b) – re Safe Ship Management Systems – entry to and conditions to be met in order for ship to remain in Safe Ship Management System
? 1 from Maritime Rule 31B.15 – Table 8 – re crewing and watchkeeping offshore, coastal and restricted (non-fishing vessels) – enclosed area
? 4 from Maritime Rule 32.9(6)(b)(i) – ships personnel – qualifications – combined skipper/engineer certificates (local launch operator)
? 1 from Maritime Rule 40A.10(1)(a) and (b) – design, construction and equipment – passenger ships which are not SOLAS ships – general passengers ship
