Pursuant to section 253(1)(ca) of the Education Act 1989, the New Zealand Qualifications Authority hereby revokes The Quality Assurance Standard for Private Training Establishments, Government Training Establishments and Wananga (QA Standard One) that was published in the
New Zealand Gazette, 7 February 2003, No. 11, page 302.
For private training establishments, QA Standard One will be replaced by:
1. The Policies and Criteria for the Ongoing Registration of Private Training Establishments 1 September 2009, established by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority under section 253(1)(ca) of the Education Act 1989, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 9 July 2009, No. 99, page 2255. These require private training establishments to meet policies in the new Quality Assurance Framework documents published on the
New Zealand Qualifications Authority website in July 2009, at
http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/for-providers/tertiary/
2. The Guidelines for the Registration of Private Training Establishments 1 September 2009, published on the
New Zealand Qualifications Authority website in June 2009, at
http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/for-providers/tertiary/
For wananga, QA Standard One will be replaced by the
new Quality Assurance Framework documents that
provide the New Zealand Qualifications Authority policies for Self-assessment and External Evaluation and Review, established under section 253(1)(d) and (c) of the Education Act 1989 and published on the New Zealand Qualifications Authority website in July 2009, at
http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/for-providers/tertiary/
For Government training establishments, QA Standard One will be replaced by the new Quality Assurance Framework.
