In accordance with section 161(2) of the Land Transport Act 1998, the NZ Transport Agency, on behalf of the Minister of Transport, gives notice of the Minister’s intention to make a Rule that proposes amendments to Land Transport Rule: Work Time and Logbooks 2007 (Rule 62001) (“the Work Time and Logbooks Rule”), and advises that this amendment Rule is now available for public comment.
Draft Land Transport Rule: Work Time and Logbooks Amendment [(No 2) 2009] (Rule 62001/2) will amend the Work Time and Logbooks Rule to address issues raised by industry groups, and by the Police, about the way in which variations of work time requirements are dealt with for specified services or in particular situations. It will also clarify some aspects of the Rule.

The draft Rule is also available for viewing at the NZ Transport Agency’s regional offices.
