Pursuant to section 448 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, notification is hereby given of the making of the following rules by the Minister of Transport on 27 June 2009:
- Marine Protection Amendment Rules 2009: Prevention of Pollution by Oil and Prevention of Pollution by Garbage (Parts 120, 121A, 121B, 123A, 170 and 200)
- Part 130C - Regional Marine Oil Spill Contingency Plans 2009
- Part 132 - Dispersants and Demulsifiers Amendment Rules 2009
- Maritime (Various Amendments) Rules 2009 (Parts 21 - 80)
The rules come into force on 30 July 2009.
