Pursuant to section 66 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“the Act”), the Environmental Risk Management Authority issues the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title—This notice is the Hazardous Substances (Endosulfan Further Direction Prohibiting Use and Storage Disposal Control) Notice 2009.
2. Commencement—This notice comes into effect the day after the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
3. Purpose—(1) The purpose of this notice is to amend the meaning of endosulfan in the Hazardous Substances (Endosulfan Direction Prohibiting Use and Storage Disposal Control) Notice 2008*.
(2) In the Hazardous Substances (Endosulfan Direction Prohibiting Use and Storage Disposal Control) Notice 2008 Endosulfan means:
endosulfan (former Approval Number HSR002846);
emulsifiable concentrate containing 350g/litre endosulfan (Substance A) (former Approval Number HSR000679);
emulsifiable concentrate containing 350g/litre endosulfan (Substance B) (former Approval Number HSR000678);
emulsifiable concentrate containing 350g/litre endosulfan (Substance C) (former Approval Number HSR000487); and
emulsifiable concentrate containing 350g/litre endosulfan (Substance D) (former Approval Number HSR000677).
