Pursuant to section 161(3) of the Land Transport Act
1998, notification is hereby given of the making of Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Standards Compliance (Whole of Vehicle Marking) Amendment 2009 (Rule 35001/5), which amends Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Standards Compliance 2002 (Rule 35001).
This amendment Rule revokes requirements relating to the places on which, and manner in which, copies of a valid vehicle inspection number are to be attached to new and used vehicles at border inspection or when first certified for entry into service in New Zealand.
The amendment Rule comes into force on 10 April 2009.
Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Standards Compliance (Whole of Vehicle Marking) Amendment 2009 is available for inspection free of charge at the National Office of
the NZ Transport Agency, PSIS House, 20 Ballance Street, Wellington, and for purchase from selected bookshops that sell legislation.
