Pursuant to section 439(2) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (repealed by section 338(2) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993), on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court dated the 5th day of November 1992, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto be set apart as a
Maori reservation and be included in the Manukorihi A2 (Owae Marae) Maori reservation also known as Manukorihi Pa Reserves.
The purpose of the reservation is a meeting place and as a place of historic interest by notice dated the 20th day of September 1926 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 23 September 1926, No. 65, page 2795, and section 103 of the Maori Purposes Act 1931.
