Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Acting Conservator, West Coast Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, declares that the land described in the Schedule is held
for conservation purposes and further declares that the conservation area be set apart as a reserve, subject to
the Reserves Act 1977, classifies the land as a recreation reserve, declares that the reserve shall be known as the Lake Brunner Kotuku-Whakaoho Recreation Reserve and further, appoints the Grey District Council to control and manage the reserve for the said purpose.
