Pursuant to section 14(8) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, and acting under delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, I have initiated a review of the imposition of countervailing duty in respect of the goods described in the Schedule to this notice (the goods).
This initiation follows the receipt of an application made by the New Zealand industry providing positive evidence justifying the need for a review.
Countervailing duty was imposed on the goods following a determination made on 9 January 1998.
The current rate of duty on the goods results from a reassessment of the duty on 15 December 2003, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 18 December 2003, No. 173, page 4763.
