Pursuant to section 65ZD(3) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:
“On 15 October 2008, The Honourable Phil Goff, Associate Minister of Finance, on behalf of the
Crown, gave an indemnity to Te Wananga o Raukawa
in relation to any income tax or GST which may
be payable in respect of the settlement amount under
the Deed of Settlement in Relation to the Wananga Capital Establishment Report (Wai 718) dated 15 October 2008.”
