Pursuant to section 160(3) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, I, Jane Katharine Meares, Treasury Solicitor, hereby give notice on behalf of the Minister of Finance, that on or around 11 April 2008, the Minister of Transport and the Minister of Finance gave approval, under section 160(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, in relation to section 163 of that Act, for Transit New Zealand to give an indemnity to the Bank of New Zealand in order to give effect to a performance bond required under the Resource Management Act 1991; and also gave approval under this section for Transit New Zealand to give certain further indemnities in order to facilitate performance bonds that may be required
in the future under the Resource Management Act 1991, without seeking further Ministerial approval.
