Under section 261(1)(a) of the Building Act 2004, I, Katrina Bach, Chief Executive of the Department of Building and Housing ("the chief executive"), appoint as the product certification accreditation body:
The Joint Accreditation System of Australia and
New Zealand (JAS-ANZ), a body corporate established under the Diplomatic Privileges (Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand) Order 1998, made pursuant to section 9 of the Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act 1968.
This appointment is effective from the date below and is revocable by the chief executive under section 261(1)(b) of the Building Act 2004.
The chief executive and JAS-ANZ intend to enter into a separate arrangement to record how they will work together during the term of this appointment.
