Pursuant to section 37 of the Biosecurity Act 1993, notice is given that New Zealand Refining Company Limited Marsden Point Cargo Terminal
was approved on 5 March 2008, as a place of first arrival into New Zealand.
This approval is restricted to arrivals of vessels for the following purposes:
- Crude oil tankers
- Refined product tankers for discharging and loading
- Other commercial vessels for the purposes of bunkering (refuelling).
This approval does not authorise the arrival of vessels carrying general cargo (including live animals, fresh produce and vehicles).
The written notice of approval may be inspected free
of charge, during business hours, at the head office of
the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Pastoral House,
25 The Terrace, Wellington.
