Global Connections in Mission

Notice of Application to Seek Approval of Scheme
Pursuant to the Charitable Trusts Act 1957
Notice is hereby given that Global Connections in Mission has made application to the High Court at Palmerston North for the approval of a scheme.
The applicant has commenced proceedings seeking approval, pursuant to the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, of a scheme under which Missionary Funds (N.Z.) (constituted by deed dated the 31st day of July 1974) and Missionary Services New Zealand (constituted by deed dated the 23rd day
of June 1995) (together referred to as “the Old Trusts”)
will be amalgamated into Global Connections in Mission (“the Amalgamated Trust Board”) and any bequest or gift to any of the Old Trusts will take effect as a bequest or gift
to the Amalgamated Trust Board (including the bequest
by the late Norman Lloyd Frederick Mercer, retired, of Auckland).
The date set down for the hearing of the application is
23 October 2008 at 2.15pm at the High Court, Palmerston North.
Any person desiring to oppose the application is required
to give notice of their intention to do so to:
(a) the Registrar of the High Court at Palmerston North;
(b) the applicant, whose address for service is at Fitzherbert Rowe, Solicitors, Floors 7 and 8, State Insurance Building, 61–75 Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North (Attention: Karina Job); and
(c) the Attorney-General, whose address for service is
at the Crown Law Office, Unisys House, 56 The Terrace, Wellington (Attention: Peter Gunn)
not less than seven clear days before the above-mentioned date for hearing.
