Notice of Approval of a Scheme
Under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957
Notice is hereby given that Frederic Wallis House Trust Board has made application to the High Court at Wellington for an order approving a scheme of variation to the deed of trust seeking approval of a scheme of variation to alter the purposes of the trust by means of the adoption of a new trust deed which seeks to meet the objectives of the trust:
(a) to improve the management structure of the trust and of its assets.
(b) to clarify the purpose of the trust following the sale of Frederic Wallis House at Lower Hutt, while seeking to follow the vision and intention of the settlor, the late Margaret Emily Jane Wallis.
(c) to change the name of the trust to “The Wallis Trust”
and proposes associated consequential changes to the deed of trust dated the 2nd day of September 1943.
The date for the hearing of the application is Tuesday,
26 February 2008 at 10.00am in the High Court at Wellington.
Any person desiring to oppose the scheme is required to give written notice of intention to do so to the Registrar of the High Court at Wellington, to the applicant at the address below, and to the Attorney-General, Crown Law, PO Box 2858, Wellington, not less than seven clear days before the date of hearing.
