On 8 December 2008, the Commerce Commission ("Commission") released its Draft Cost Calculation Determination for the Telecommunications Service Obligation Instrument for Local Residential
Service ("TSO Instrument") for the period between
1 July 2007 and 30 June 2008.
The Commission, acting pursuant to section 92(a) of
the Telecommunications Act 2001 ("the Act"), prepared the draft determination in respect of the matters set out in section 93A of the Act for the TSO Instrument.
Pursuant to section 92(b) of the Act, the Commission gives public notice of its draft determination.

The Commission gives public notice that the closing date for submissions on its draft determination is 16 January 2009.
