Notice of Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2009)

1. The Board of Drug Free Sport New Zealand has made the Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2009) (“2009 Rules”) under section 16 of the Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006. The 2009 Rules amend the Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2007) in order to give effect to the amendments to the World Anti-Doping Code adopted by the World Anti-Doping Agency and contained in the World Anti-Doping Code 2009.
2. The 2009 Rules incorporate by reference the following World Anti-Doping Agency International Standards:
(a) World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List 2009;
(b) World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Therapeutic Use Exemptions, effective 1 January 2009;
(c) World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Testing, effective 1 January 2009;
(d) World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Laboratories, effective 1 January 2009; and
(e) World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for the Protection of Privacy and Personal Information, effective 1 January 2009.
3. The 2009 Rules and the material incorporated by reference can be inspected free of charge during working hours at Drug Free Sport New Zealand, Level 2, 321 Great South Road, Greenlane, Auckland.

The Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2009) come into force on
1 January 2009.
