Pursuant to section 9(3)(a) of the Industry Training Act 1992, the New Zealand Journalists Training Organisation Incorporated's recognition as an industry training
organisation to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the
National Qualifications Framework for the news and feature reporting industry (including print, radio and television)
has been cancelled, with effect from 25 September 2008.
Following the cancellation of recognition, the New Zealand Journalists Training Organisation Incorporated industry coverage will be transferred to the Printing and Allied Industries Training Council Incorporated, with effect from
1 October 2008.
