Pursuant to section 77B(1) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990,
I, Steve Douglas, Director of Civil Aviation, hereby direct that the Aviation Security Service shall screen and undertake reasonable searches of any:
(a) Person, item, substance or vehicle:
(i) before they enter a security enhanced area; or
(ii) present within a security enhanced area.
(b) Unattended item, substance or vehicle in a security enhanced area, for the items and substances listed in the Schedule annexed to this Direction.
This Direction shall take effect on 31 March 2008 and
may be viewed on the CAA website
