Pursuant to Regulation 194(2) of the Electricity Governance Regulations 2003, the Electricity Commission (“Commission”) gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice is the Electricity Governance Regulations (Exemption No. 59 (Registry)) Exemption Notice 2008.
(2) This notice comes into force on 20 March 2008.
2. Exemption—The registry, as defined in Part A of the Electricity Governance Rules 2003 (“Rules”), is exempted from compliance with Rules 5.3 and 5.4 of Schedule E2 of Part E of the Rules.
3. Terms and conditions—This exemption is granted on the following conditions:
(a) The registry must notify the Commission of any new network supply points within one business day of their creation; and
(b) this exemption will expire on 30 April 2008.
4. Reason for granting the exemption—The reason for granting this exemption is:
? In order to comply with the migration plan and enable participants to populate the new systems in preparation for the new registry and reconciliation manager systems, the registry cannot comply with the requirements of these rules.
