Pursuant to section 15 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice is hereby given of the final decisions of the New Zealand Geographic Board Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa to assign new or altered place names, stated in the first column of the Schedule below, to the places described in the second column of the said Schedule, and that such decisions take effect on 13 December 2007.

Whitireia/Mount Couper Hill at height 104m, with beaconed trig station “A2G5, Mt Cooper” at its summit, located north of Porirua, topographic map 260-R26 & Pt R25 Paraparaumu, NZMG coordinate 2664500E, 6010700N. Restoring the original Maori name and altering the spelling from Mount Cooper.
Westland Land District

Canterbury Land District
