Pursuant to section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Gisborne District Council gives notice of its intention to take under the Public Works Act 1981 the land described in the Schedule to this notice.
The land is required for the purpose of a landfill site and it is intended to use the land for a landfill and associated works.
The Gisborne District Council considers it reasonably necessary to take the land because the council wishes
to provide a landfill in the Gisborne District for the disposal of waste.
Any person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Ministry of Justice, PO Box 5027, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.

Land situated at Mander Road, Gisborne, being 63.1702 hectares, more or less, being Section 1 on SO 382707 and being part Lot 3 DP 9022 and part of the land contained in Computer Freehold Register GS6B/345 (Gisborne Registry).
