Notice is hereby given that the Palmerston North City Council proposes to take, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, the land described in the Schedule to this notice (“the land”).
The land is required for road purposes and it is intended
to use the land for the extension of Valley Views Road to service adjoining land.
The intended taking is considered reasonably necessary
to achieve an extension of Valley Views Road and to maintain sensible roading connectivity.
The owners of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Palmerston North City Council’s intention to take the land and advised of their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Ministry of Justice, PO Box 5027, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice,
a public hearing will be held.
The objector will have a right to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires.
Each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

Schedule
Land at the end of Valley Views Road being an area of 70 square metres more or less and being Lot 18 DP 73932 and being all that land contained in Computer Freehold Register 41B/208 (Wellington Registry).
