Under section 24B(4)(b) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation declares that the marginal strip requirements, set out in section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987, shall not apply to the disposition to Meridian Energy Limited of the land required in connection with electricity works for the Manapouri Power Station specified in the Schedule.
The disposition takes the form of lease for a term of
999 years from 31 March 1988 and this declaration shall apply to the land during the term of the lease.
