Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of the reserve described in the Schedule from a recreation reserve to a local purpose (soil conservation and river control) reserve and further vests the said reserve in the Greater Wellington Regional Council in trust for the purpose specified subject to the Crown reserving the right to cancel the vesting of the reserve in whole or part, if or when it is required for Treaty of Waitangi settlement purposes.
