Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator of the Waikato Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the land described in the Schedule is held
for conservation purposes and further declares that the conservation area described in the Schedule shall be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of the latter Act, and further, under the Reserves Act 1977, vests the reserve in the Waikato District Council in trust for recreation purposes, subject to the condition that any title issued for the land is noted that the land is subject to section 11 of the Waikato Raupatu Claims Settlement Act 1995.
