The Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal ("the tribunal"), in a decision dated 19 September 2006 pursuant to the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, determined that Richard Alexander Vesi Gulliver, registered nurse, was guilty of professional misconduct.
The tribunal ordered that Richard Alexander Vesi Gulliver's registration be cancelled, censured him and
fined him $500.00.
The tribunal also ordered that Richard Alexander Vesi Gulliver pay 50% of the total costs and expenses of
the hearing and prosecution and directed that Richard Alexander Vesi Gulliver's name should be published in the
New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki: Nursing New Zealand,
the New Zealand Nursing Review, the newsletter of the Nursing Council of New Zealand and the tribunal's website.
