Pursuant to section 153(1)(b) of the Education Act 1989,
I hereby declare that Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Oparure, (1865) will become a Years 1–13 composite school on
27 January 2009 and cease to be a Years 1–8 primary school on that day.
This change of class is to be phased in over four years.
For the year 2009, the school will enrol Years 1–10 students.
As from 2010, the school will enrol Years 1–11 students.
As from 2011, the school will enrol Years 1–12 students.
As from 2012, the school will enrol Years 1–13 students.
