Notice of Variation of a Scheduled International Air Service Licence

Further to notices published in the New Zealand Gazette,
7 December 2006, No. 167, page 4845 and New Zealand Gazette, 10 May 2007, No. 50, page 1354, and pursuant
to section 87J(6) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, sections
28, 29 and 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, and a delegation from the Minister of Transport dated 12 September 2004,
I give notice that having received applications from Air
New Zealand Limited, the Minister of Transport has varied the scheduled international air service licence held by that airline in order to provide for:
- in respect of China, the right to offer code-share services (as the marketing carrier in a code-share arrangement with a Chinese operating carrier) on the route points
in New Zealand, optionally via intermediate points, to points in China and optionally to points beyond China, with such capacity as is filed with and acknowledged
by the Secretary for Transport;
- in respect of China, the right to operate five combination services per week;
- in respect of Hong Kong, the right to operate nine passenger services per week; and
- in respect of Switzerland, the right to provide such capacity as is filed with and acknowledged by the Secretary for Transport, and removal of the traffic
rights restrictions pertaining to Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore.
These variations took effect from 1 July 2007.
