Pursuant to section 160(3) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, I, John Henry Whitehead, Secretary to the Treasury, hereby give notice that on 6 August 2007, I, John Henry Whitehead, Secretary to the Treasury, and Karen Sewell, Secretary for Education, gave approval under section 160(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, in relation to section 161 of that Act, for:
(a) the following schools' boards of trustees to acquire redeemable preference shares in Foodstuffs (South Island) Limited as follows:
(i) Otago Boys' High School - $1 x 2960 shares;
(ii) Timaru Boys' High School - $1 x 2895 shares;
(iii) Salisbury School (Nelson) - $1 x 3440 shares;
(iv) Southland Girls' High School - $1 x 2625 shares; and
(b) each school's board of trustees listed in (a) above
to acquire redeemable preference shares issued by Foodstuffs (South Island) Limited acquired as a result of expenditure on goods for a period of up to, but not exceeding, five (5) years from the date of the approval referred to above.
