In the matter of the Law Practitioners Act 1982
Pursuant to sections 112(1)(a) and 113 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982, notice is hereby given that on
20 March 2007, the New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal ordered as follows:
THAT
1. Stuart David Jecks be censured.
2. The practitioner be suspended from practice as a barrister and solicitor for a period of three years commencing 20 March 2007.
3. Following the suspension, the practitioner shall not practise as a solicitor on his own account, whether in partnership or otherwise, until authorised by the tribunal to do so.
4. The practitioner shall pay to the New Zealand Law Society the sum of $5,991.23 for costs.
5. The practitioner shall pay to Auckland District Law Society the sum of $20,000.00 for costs.
