In the matter of the Law Practitioners Act 1982
Pursuant to sections 112(1)(a) and 113 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982, notice is hereby given that on
16 March 2007, the New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal ordered as follows:
THAT
1. On each of the charges found proved Jag Deo Lal be censured.
2. The practitioner be suspended from practice as a barrister and solicitor for a period of one month from 26 March 2007.
3. The practitioner shall pay to the New Zealand Law Society the sum of $3,000.00 for costs.
4. The practitioner shall pay to Auckland District Law Society the sum of $28,000.00 for costs.
