Pursuant to section 60A of the Education Act 1989 (incorporating all amendments), the Minister of Education makes the following amendments to the National Administration Guidelines notified in the New Zealand Gazette, 29 April 1993, No. 58, page 1086 (as amended
in the New Zealand Gazette, 27 June 1996, No. 65, page 1634; New Zealand Gazette, 25 November 1999, No. 177, page 4229; New Zealand Gazette, 18 December 2003, No. 173, page 4764 and New Zealand Gazette, 23 December 2004, No. 175, page 4406).
1. The National Administration Guidelines are amended by adding the following clauses to NAG (5):
(ii) promote healthy food and nutrition for all students;
(iii) where food and beverages are sold on school premises, make only healthy options available.
This notice will take effect from 1 June 2008.
