Pursuant to section 31 of the Crimes of Torture Act 1989,
I hereby designate:
- the Human Rights Commission to be the central national preventive mechanism for the purpose of the Crimes of Torture Act 1989 commencing on the date of publication of this notice and expiring when the designation is revoked by notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
