Application to Vary a Charitable Trust
In the High Court of New Zealand, New Plymouth Registry
In the matter of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, and in the matter of an application, pursuant to section 33 of
the Act, for approval of a scheme of a charitable trust
by the Venture Taranaki Trust—Applicant:
Take notice that the trustees of Venture Taranaki Trust will apply to the High Court at New Plymouth on 21 March 2007 at 10.00am, for an order varying the terms of the First Consolidated Venture Taranaki Trust Deed dated the 14th day of December 2004 (“the deed”).
The purpose of this application is to vary the deed so that the trustees have the ability to amend and vary the deed, provided such amendment does not detract from the trust’s exclusive charitable nature and subject to approval by the New Plymouth District Council.
Further particulars of the application may be obtained from the office of the applicant’s solicitors, Govett Quilliam.
Any person desiring to oppose the scheme is required to give notice in writing of his/her intention to do so to:
(a) the Registrar of the High Court at New Plymouth (Attention: Tasha Kupe);
(b) the applicant, c/o Govett Quilliam, The Lawyers, Private Bag 2013, New Plymouth (Attention: Andrew Laurenson/Lauren Wallace); and
(c) the Attorney-General, c/o Crown Law Office,
PO Box 5012, Wellington (Attention: Charlotte Griffin)
not less than seven clear days before the matter is due to
be heard.
