Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“HSNO Act”), the Environmental Risk Management Authority advises that it has approved a code of practice for Rotationally Moulded Polyethylene (PE) Tanks to AS/NZS 4766 for Non Flammable Hazardous Substances.
This code is intended to provide a means of compliance with the regulatory requirements of clauses 8(2), 77(b)(i) and 93 of the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004 (as amended).
This code can be inspected at the Wellington office of ERMA New Zealand (Level 1, BP House, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington). The code is also available for inspection or purchase from RX Plastics Limited, PO Box 360, Ashburton.
