Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Transit New Zealand
Act 1989 and clause 2.6 of the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003 (Rule 54001), Transit New Zealand hereby amends the following bylaw.
A m e n d m e n t s
1. These amendments shall come into force 28 days after publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
2. The Transit New Zealand (Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways) Bylaw 2005/7* is hereby amended by:
(a) Replacing line 233 in Schedule 3 to read:
“Transit NZ Region: 3
SH No.: 39
Locality: Te Kowhai
From (RP): 0/9.02 To (RP): 0/9.26
Distance from nearest Road/Feature:
From 220m north of Te Kowhai Road to 30m south of Te Kowhai Road.
Speed Restriction (km/h): 50

(b) Inserting line 233(a) in Schedule 3 to read:
“Transit NZ Region: 3

Locality: Te Kowhai

From 30m south of Te Kowhai Road to 90m north of Bedford Road.
Speed Restriction (km/h): 40 and 50 (variable speed limit in school zone, during school hours between 8.25am to 9.00am and 2.50pm to 3.15pm).
